karlunity
Rifles: .303 nNo 4 mk 2 and a 98k. Pistols: Walter P1 and a Rem 1858 44 cap and ball. The first up were the pistols and at 25 meters, I was able to keep most rounds in the black. As in most cases, I would be better off with a k-bar in a pistol fight, I was happy with the result. Both the Walter and the Remy shot well. I used 6.4 grs of HS6 and 124 gr copper coated rn bullets. I am happy to report that the load shot to point of aim The Remy used 24 grains of BP and .454 balls. The Remy was a bit more accurate, better trigger and longer barrel, I suspect and much more fun to shoot. The fellas at the range were all regulars and very unhappy as to the future state of Gun rights in Cali. The Mauser shot very well. load 13 grs of Red Dot and 150 fmj/ I hit the 220 meter iron plate it is about 2 feet by 2 feet and met for scope work , with iron, issue sights, with the K98. The .303( 13 grs of Red Dot and 150 gr soft nose) grouped better 1 to 1.5 inches at 100 meters but would not hit the gong, the front sight is a tad to the left. on the whole a very nice day at the range.
