RGRWJB
It appears there needs to be a block of instruction on the proper PLF here. Now let me remember back to my jumpmaster class. Toes pointed down with a slight bend to the kness, facing the horizon. Upon impact the jumper will roll to the appropriate side of his body facing the fall. He will then roll to his calves, thighs, hips, pushup muscle of his back thus taking up the impact of the landing.
swamprat
All thats great when you are 18! However at my age none of the mentioned joints bend, the muscle has no more elasticity and the last roll I took was from the deli! All us older folk need to be equiped with airbags. Doble Troble
All us older folk need to be equiped with airbags. Now there's a multimillion dollar idea! Until your product is marketed maybe the injury prone should wrap themselves in foam rubber secured with duct tape. Sure you'll get some funny looks, but what is safety worth? Here's another idea... Here's something fritz might be interested in
karlunity
Marines don't jump out of perfectly good aircraft. We let the plane land first. Karl
Jimro
When was the last time that the Marines were issued a "Perfectly Good Aircraft"? I thought the purpose of the C130 was to make paratroopers WANT to jump out... Jimro
roscoedoh
Marines don't jump out of perfectly good aircraft. But will dive out of a perfectly good boat. ----------- DT, At our annual Halloween bash two years ago, we had a guest show up in a sumo suit like that. Believe it or not, the darn thing's inflatable! Has it's own air pump and everything.
Doble Troble
Roscoedoh, I think that would be great college party attire. Perfect for keggers and all to frequent stumbling walk home.
RGRWJB
Karl They forgot to tell that to Anglaco and Force Recon. They had to go to an Army school for that.
Jimro
Isn't if funny how the best of the Marine Corps keep going to all those Army schools? Airborne, Ranger, pathfinder, air assault.... At least the Navy gives them SCUBA training.... Jimro
