Ron J
I would assume her logic will be much the same as the justice she is replacing. Sad, but expected given the socialist we have running everything now.
FC
I will allow the gov't. to tell me what to do- just to a certain point. To show the sorry road Obama is taking this country, read this about anti-American attitudes at work today: Flag down at TX hospital
karlunity
A person should obey reasonable laws...that is all I have to say on that. Now follow the logic of her statement, If the 2nd limits only the power of the Federal government, which I agree that it does, than ALL federal laws may only effect the power or limit the power of the fed. That effectively throws out ALL social engineering AA type laws, and prevents the congress form attaching conditions to any Federal funding as said conditions would be an effort to effect the laws of the states. That according to the good judge would be unconstitutional. karl
Dr.Hess
Yeah, if the 2nd Ammendment doesn't apply to the states, then neither do all those others, like the 1st, 4th, etc. Pretty much throws out our entire form of government. Oh, wait, they want their cake and eat it too. They want to disregard the parts of the Constitution that they don't like and force down the parts they do like, just as they have been doing for decades. Anyone see that news report of the Feds "interviewing" a blogger because he was sending letters to congress critters telling them no more deficit spending, etc.? FC
Excellent point. I hadn't thought of that.
