FC
(CNSNews.com) - House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D.-Calif.) declined to say Thursday whether Osama bin Laden, when captured by the United States, should be told he has the right to remain silent and be given a lawyer. Pelosi indicated that is not a question Americans should worry about now. CNSNews.com asked Pelosi at her regular press briefing on Thursday: “When we capture Bin Laden, should he be told he has the right to remain silent and given a lawyer?” Pelosi responded: “Well, let’s see, how many years has it been? Nine, eight years. Let’s worry about capturing Bin Laden and not worry about your, your question.”
roscoedoh
I say we just hang him and dispense with the formalities. No point in dragging this out longer than necessary.
Dr.Hess
They're not worrying about OBL's lawyer and "rights" right now because he's already dead. Look at an old picture of him. He has a thin nose. Look at a new picture of him. He has a huge wide nose. Noses don't grow wider like that in a couple years. Also, he was said to be a dialysis patient. They don't do well when in the U.S. at a hospital, not to mention in a cave in Pakistan. Then all his kin folk suddenly traveled to the Afgan/Pak border a few years ago for the funeral. We didn't get to kill him, but he's dead anyway. So, when asked about what were "going to do when we catch OBL" and the answer is "uh, uh, uh," that's because it's an irrelavent question. FC
Pelosi's response to this, and the question about the constitutionality of the healthcare bill are the interesting thing. She has no firm foundation to draw upon.
