karlunity Posted January 21, 2010 Report Share Posted January 21, 2010 Interesting week. I went to the dentist last week, I had a tooth that was sensitive to cold. Well, he pulled the wisdom tooth..pain still there only worse...I had to call for wimp pain pills. The Hippy made a run to the store and squared the druggist away, she felt he was taking too long...(she can be a very protective lioness) So back to the dentist. This time he sent me to a oral surgeon to have the tooth next to it pulled.."long roots that requires a "specialist" ..pain still there..better but still there. So back I go for a a check up... The tooth next to the one just pulled is now loose and painful.."we have to root canal or pull", said the good doctor "What do you want to do"? I asked him for a professional opinion and he said "pull" so we did.The novacain wore off so we had stop half way for an another few shots. it was a pain in the butt. I have to go back next month for new teeth. Fellas. This was my own dam fault..The Hippy has been after me to go for a checkup or cleaning for several years and I kept putting it off. After breaking one of my lower front with wire strippers in late Oct or early Nov it was found the one next to it had an absess and had to go also. Good luck..couple of things to look out for: Getting the tooth pulled won't hurt if you get enough Novocaine, so if you feel any pain,demand more. They will give you a prescription for pain killers. Fill it on the way home and take the first pill BEFORE the Novocaine wears off. Pick up a few cans of soup at the store and run them through a blender. The Customs guard asked what are you bringing across and I said two root canals. The guard acting concerned said what kind of pills did he give. Like an idiot I showed him two brown envelopes. One if it hurt the other if it hurt real bad. The gurard then informed me I wasn't crossing the border with the pills and if I didn't want to go to the end of line to hide them in my pocket that I had to throw them in the trash bucket.
