JBMauser Posted February 6, 2010 Report Share Posted February 6, 2010 I have a cut down Krag that I have a front band coming in the mail. If I cut off the rounded tip square and fabricate a stub to seat into the band she will look close to a constabulary short rifle. It will not accept a bayonet since the muzzle was not turned down and I think the band will be a bit shy of proper set back from the muzzle but a man on a fast horse will not know the difference.
