karlunity
We are "males". As one Prof in Women's studies told me. The word "Man" has historical and cultural associations of power and dominance that liberated women find offensive and sexist. karl the MAN

karlunity
Is there such a thing as a Prof of Men's studies? So far as I know, no. As brutal, sexist, racist, imperialist oppressiors..we don't rate studying. karl
FC
What does he mean he's gender neutral? A eunuch? That's the good thing about online degrees- it diminishes the influence of nut jobs like her!
karlunity
Hello FC. It means that his world view does not, in his opinion, take gender into account. karl
littlecanoe
karl, Do these types admit to having a "world view" or do they follow more of a post-modern ideology that tunes in to the latest and greatest view of things? Sounds like she is smart enough to realize/recognize that absolutes exist even though she would likely define them by her experience. Do they accept the exacting nature of language? Do they believe that they exist? lc
karlunity
I think that they follow the PC party line. Why? Well, it seems a nice thing to do. Shows your detachment from "Petty" feelings. Avoids conflict.. But mostly I think that the rule is "What the Chairman..excuse me ..Chairperson thinks goes". karl
