Fellas.

This, so far, is the best way I have found to clean a rifle.

Mp.PRO 7...a rubber stopper, a rubber cork and a ink refilling syringe, a bore brush, patches and a cleaning rod and chamber stick.

Take the rifle and place the cork in the chamber.

Use the syringe to fill the bore to the tip of the muzzle and let it sit for a hour or two.

Drain the cleaning fluid, but save it, as it is reusable.

Run the bore brush down the bore.

Run patches...once the patch comes out white you are done.

Clean the chamber with parch wrapped around the chamber stick.

Oil it.

You are done.

I used to spend Hours cleaning my rifles, this works in minutes.

If you really want to try something try using 9 to 1 mix of MPRO-7 and water and put a pistol barrel in an ultrasonic cleaner. It really works great. I just picked up one of the Hornady case cleaners for the work bench, small and cheap, and will do a 1911 in pieces. Sure beats scrubbing.
