ahoyza
Will a vz-24 take a standard k98 bolt? I have a straight bolt vz-24. Should I bend it's bolt or buy a bent one? I want to sporterize it. No the numbers don't match. Its chop fodder. -ahoyza
gun nutty
You can have someone weld a new handle on it for you. It costs a little more than forging, but you get a handle that's a little longer and more choices of handle styles.
Spiris
Yes, the VZ-24 is a standard length 98 action. A properly welded bolt handle will usually be advantageous atheistically, and from a leverage standpoint. Spiris

A Mauser bent bolt like that of the K98 will not provide adequate clearance for a scope. Your best bet is to either forge or cut and weld the VZ24 bolt that you have.
