gun nutty
I know some "Christians" who didn't vote for Romney because he was a Mormon. I wanted to smack a couple people for what they said in regards to that. Absolute hypocrisy. Romney would have done a much better job protecting the rapidly eroding religious freedoms we currently enjoy. I felt the biggest hurdle that Romney would have to overcome during the election would be his faith, and I'm sure that -- had he been a Protestant denomination -- he'd be President right now. pacrat
I think his religion had little or nothing to do with his loss. He ran a defensive campaign from the get go. He never really took the fight to O-hole on his record of incompetence. Simply mentioning the 16 trillion deficit was worthless without an attack on why it was doubled on O-holes watch. One Trillion of that was borrowed from the Chinese and handed over to wall st power brokers and the very banks that created the economic delima. With the excuse that he did it so the unemployment rate wouldn't reach 8%. Mitt said not near enough. When Mitt handed over his tax returns he should have asked "now lets see your original certified copy of birth certificate not another computer generated forgery". How about your college transcripts and passport records. Fast and Furious was another good opening. Mitt let it slip by. He should have during the debates where O-hole had no teleprompter or press secretary to hide behind asked EXACTLY why he issued an EO of privilege to protect O-holder from his own illegal activities unless O-hole was complacent in the crimes and caused the death of the BP agent. He should have point blank asked O-hole EXACTLY where are those 2,500 assault weapons that BATF intentionally let cross the border? O-hole was just standing there with his eyes glazed and his face exposed and Romney refused to knock his ass out. Romney ran a Wuss campaign IMO. Rockydog
You gotta be kidding! Most churches are more liberal than Obama. Gay clergy and gay weddings in the church. Got this in an e-mail. Not sure of the source.... Catholics Broke for Obama, Evangelicals for Romney Catholics voted for Barack Obama over Mitt Romney by 50 to 48 percent, while Protestants preferred Romney by a 15-point margin -- 57 to 42 percent, the Religion News Service reports. Obama won 70 to 26 percent among Americans with no religious affiliation, 69 to 30 percent among Jews and 74 to 23 percent among other religions. Evangelicals voted for Romney 78 to 21 percent -- the same rate as Mormons. Additionally, those who said they attend worship weekly preferred Romney by 20 points, 59 to 39 percent, while those who said they attend less frequently went for Obama by 25 points.
