ken98k
Besides the Turkish K-Kale, what other mauser rifle used a large receiver ring with a small ring barrel?
donmarkey
Turk 1903 but the shank is longer, uses a intermediate bolt, and doesn't have the deep relief cut in the threads like the k kale. Don
ken98k
I was thinking there was a South American model, maybe peruvian?
Sailormilan2
I was thinking there was a South American model, maybe peruvian? Correct. The 1909 Peruvian is essentially, identical to the 1903 Turk, except that it does not have the counterbored front. Standard length, intermediate bolt, extra high charger clip hump. Because the front of the receiver ring is not counterbored as is the 1903 Turk, the barrel shank is longer by about 1/8"+.
