I agree wholeheartedly that in chili pepper should be one spice among the others. I also eat canned chili but I prefer homemade. What brands do you like the best? I have found some seem to taste better than others. I've had some that tasted like the metal of the can. Jim

I cook a pot every so often. It took me about 15 years to get it where I like it. It is a complex brew. I don't mind telling people that I don't believe in hot (pepper) dishes. I didn't grow up like that. I already found out that my mouth is too tender for real hot chili. Thanks again, that was a heck of a funny story. Very good advice and I will strive to remember it. I carry a Makarov mostly because I have found it to reasonably easy to hide, powerful enough, very accurate, and reliable. I like my Springfield Compact but I have to wear suspenders with it or my pants droop too much. Take care, Jim
