  1. Well here is what I did: 1939 Tula I love it, Plan on using it for a Pig Hunt I was thinking of cutting it down to 24" but can't bring myself to do it.
  2. Terry: Very nice Action, What mounts are on that Puppy.
  3. Yes you can grind to far. Use the stripped forged bolt, insert it into the action lower it down and see where it hits, then grind alittle wipe it off insert the bolt again see where it hits then grind some more, go Slooowly. You can always take more off but it is hard to put the metal back I'll post a couple of pics of the ones I have done a little later today.
  4. I got a Tongue Lashing over there just for mentioning I sporterize
  5. Thanks : That would be my 1943 K-Kale, the best shooter of the Bunch
  6. My 39 Tula Sniper Wanta'be My Milsurp Collection Most of it.
  7. I use the Wheeler Jig, It works great. I do not remove my barrels. To use the Jig with the barrel on you will have to grind a little off the end of the rod that goes into the receiver, this is easiely done but go slow and measure, I can post a pic for you if you need, let me know. I set the jig up in my table top drill press, with the barreled action. You can start the holes with the standard bit, then switch to a botteming bit. Basicly a bit with a flat tip, you can take a standard bit an grind the tip off. Use cobalt bit's, Not high speed bits. The high speed bits are to soft and you stand a chance of braking a bit in the receiver. Measure your depth and go slow. I beleive the Lupy or Redfeild one peice bases are the best, No Mod required.
  8. I just got a 39 Tula 91/30 How do you get that hard shell Laquer Crap of the stock to refinish it . I just did one of my other's with Mineral spirit's and 150 wet/dry. Not that good a job . How do I do it correctly, I want a nice stock when I'm finished.
