  1. I was going to ask you about that when you stated all yours are 5.56
  2. How’s the bolt look? Is the barrel safety breeched. If not you shouldn’t be using a Yugo bolt anyway. If the bolt is original I could probably swap it out for you. But I am curious about the safety breech as I won’t use a Yugo action without it unless the bolt is swapped with a 1922 or 1903 bolt. Don
  3. Rob the other thing I can think of is the bold trigger. Do they like flat bottom cocking pieces better? Try swapping to a commercial cocking piece or filling in the vee with jb weld.
  4. Check the bolt handle notch. Sound as it might be to deep or too shallow and the bolt is over or under rotating . Quick check is to install a military 3 position safety and see if it goes in the bolt lock position when the handle is fully closed. Don
  5. Around here ace hardware sells and exchanges craftsman tools.
  6. Ken that is a good reminder for me. One of the commercial made mandrels I saw was drilled and tapped for a little clamp plate. You just turn it in hand tight and clamp it on the bottom of the receiver. I thought that would be great for indexing in the surface grinder, but would also save from a mishap like that. I think I am going to drill all mine. Don
  7. The second one is the one I have. It basically stops cutting when brought to depth. I never tried the first one. Don
  8. I use the mill now, but have used the lathe in the past. Both with a small boring bar and the ptg cutters. The ptg make it almost foolproof. Don
  9. Not hard to tighten up an extractor a small amount. I stack a few dremel cutoff wheels on an arbor and dress down to mactch the radius on the part that rides in the groove. Grind down a couple thou at a time checking the fit often. Don
  10. Looks good. For the slip I would just mill it back a little like you do for a large magnum. Or do some chamfering in that area. Don

I just renewed mine for another 5 years. I don’t agree with them 100% but they are in the governments eye more than some of the smaller orgs like GOA. Don
  12. Good luck! If I were closer I would help you out. My long term plan is to be a custom part mfr, so if I can help you out in that respect let me know. I would be willing to give someone exclusive rights to any product I make for them and could supply items to you little to no cash up front for your stock. Most of the time my machines sit idle anymore. Don
  13. Probably not too bad. I picked up a few of those or Mauser. I didn’t see those. The mauser ones took me about 30 minutes to put together. Don
  14. The only cheap one made was years ago. Someone made an alloy one, Parker Hale or b line. Either way they come up on eBay every now and then. What I do is search there, save the search, and turn notifications on. If one pops up for sale they will email you. I found a couple odd things years later that way. Don
  15. If you are looking for another option, you can convert it to a lever release type. This is one I did on a 1903. Lever kits are available Don
  16. They are nice units. I used one on a 404 project. That is pretty much going rate for a custom unit and they are the only game in town for the 1903. To put it is perspective Swift/Blackburn and Weibe both charge about $500 for mauser units. I don’t think either does 1903s. Don
  17. Springfield and the only quality drop floorplate ready available is from sunnyhill. That or a one off custom job is in order. Here is their link http://sunnyhillgunparts.com/ Don
  18. This is an Enfield converted to use a Mauser bolt stop. The perch gets moved and the spring perch eliminated. Don
  19. probably should have just posting this for the other inquiring minds
  20. Done tons. Shoot me an email. I have a jig also if you want to borrow it or see it to make your own. Easy to to. Don
  21. And I thought you were younger than that!
  22. Tony I paypaled you a few bucks. Don
