Skips a good guy to deal with.

I really like the shape too. It seems like it would be much easier on the fingers than the usual Mauser shape with tiny ridges on top. But worst case, I can pick up standard Swedish piece from
I tried 4mmx.7 screw and that didn't work.
Don, how can I find your friend on eBay to get the screw that fits?
-
4mm. The one picked is 1909 arg and the one with the pin is 89 and 91's. A friend of mine makes new screws with a torx head. You can find them on eBay.

Wow. I looked at the pics on the pc. I usually just use my phone. Yes. Get a new bolt and get some else to put a handle on it. Who ever did that is not a qualified.

Looks like it needs another turn. Was the notch modified with welding. Pre98 had a notch for shroud clearance. Find another bolt or pic of a bolt online and see if the notch looks the same. Or it could be the threads as you thought.

If the barrel is t chopped it will fetch more. What show you taking it to?

Steel rails are the only way to go in the long run. I have used the more common aluminium ones and they simply do not last. The steel screw that holds them in place, widens over time and the sight picture goes to hell.
Good work sir

Plus hard to weld an aluminum rail to a steel receiver.

Hey guys...I have two builds working right now. 6.5X55 and a 308...both cases hang in the exact same spot. The cases have heavy scrapes about 1/2 ahead of the case heads.
From what I can see they are having trouble getting past the extractor...maybe the tension on the follower is weak and not pushing the case head under the extractor
Have you tuned the extractor? How does it snap in by hand? What is the defection amount?
-
I've seen it before. Can't remember where but I think it was a conversion done for the trade. Not a one off.

Save it Ken. I'm sure you can find a bolt that someone ruined welding a handle on. Go candidate for a cut and splice kurz.

No I meant if you chamber and eject a round without firing. Or is it just with fired rounds?
Don

How does eject unfired rounds?

I can't think of a more accurate way to true a receiver than single pointing the threads on the lathe. Any piloted tool will just follow the old hole

The mini 03? That's a 218 bee

No not hers. Me and the wife drove up north to prep my deer hunting spot two weeks ago. I stopped for feed and there was a bin full of these things. Needless to say but we made the 750 mile round trip back today to pick her up. My 12 year old golden needed a friend. Going back up Tuesday. The old truck is getting the miles put on her lately.

I used to buy 1909 guards for $7 used or a whopping $10 unissued.

Bring it by some weekend. We can pull the barrel and tap it. Heck if you are bored you can surface grind it while you are here. I have a reamer around here somewhere if it needs opening.

Duane Weibe. Custom gun and rifle makes them. I have used a few. Nice units.
