I've found an old trick I used on farm machinery helps get these barrels off fast. I heat the joint of the barrel and reciever some, not even till there's any red. I then take a piece of paraffin or I guess wax and put it on the joint. The heat draws the wax right down into the threads! The next day they seem to unscrew easily, or semi easily. Its really worked for me!

I can't remember if a 308 chamber reamer will work for any other chamber. Such as 243 or 260 or 7mm-08. Is a seperate reamer required for each? Thanks for info on this.
