Ron, You can get a copy of "Mauser M98 & M96" by R. A. Walsh, out of print but copies available, if you do a search you'll find a copy. He details how to build a firing pin plug, TIG weld the damage, and refinish to original depth with a lathe. No recasehardening required. Pete
