  1. Finally think we're in the home stretch, running on the new server now, the new host mysteriously applying the wrong PHP version sure held things up for a while...
  2. The site will be going offline today for the migration, it could happen while you're working on a post, so you may want to hold off on any big ones until tomorrow.
  3. Finally found the problem and fixed it, it only affected users with admin privileges - there was an old setting that gave users in the Administrators group a 50MB upload quota, which FC had hit with his account.
  4. At some point over the last few months, a free SSL cert from Let's Encrypt (Mozilla) was quietly added to the site's hosting package, so I've enabled full-time HTTPS use for the forum. Enjoy greatly improved transport security and say goodbye to any of those warning messages from Chrome!
  5. Hey, just saw a PM from Dr. Hess when I logged in, sorry I'm late. For a dashcam, you should look for a "high endurance" microSD like this one: https://www.amazon.com/Samsung-Endurance-128GB-Micro-Adapter/dp/B07B984HJ5
  6. We'll do away with Sucuri sometime in the next few days. We'll keep BlueHost unless the routing problem turns out to be with them and they can't fix it.
  7. Looks like it worked! If the site seems to be running at a rather...viscous pace, it's because there are still rebuild tasks going on in the background.
  8. And the forum is upgraded! Now to see if it'll run on PHP7.
  9. Forum upgrade imminent, should be completed within the next hour.
  10. There will be some downtime today for a database conversion and, if all goes well, a forum upgrade. I'll try to do it when the board is quiet.
  11. Sorry about the little outage there, at least this site's now running on a version of PHP that's supported and from this decade (literally!), plus there are some real backups saved now. For the record the outage was actually triggered by the hosting provider's tech support guy, he tried to bump it to the very latest version like a maniac
  12. Hi everyone, I'm the guy who's going to be doing the security, backup, and upgrade work on here. I'll do the bulk of the initial fix-up work this weekend (so don't panic if there's downtime, should only be a little during the forum upgrade), but first I'll grab a backup this evening after hearing that it's currently backed up with hopes and prayers I know you guys are running on donations so I'm keepin' it real cheap, the trick is that it's just a relatively simple forum, so if I do my job properly it'll only be $200/yr of effort on my end
