sonic1 Posted October 29, 2005 Author Report Share Posted October 29, 2005 this homemade mix is were i started but the cost of shipping these chemicals in all from differant places is to costly.even lye is $4.00 lb at hardware stores.. ammonium Nitrate is almost impossable to buy in bulk..so its out Potassium Nitrate cost about $3.00 a lb..sodium nitrate is $8.00 lb brownells salts are 40 lb for $85.00 plus shipping and its the real deal.. unless you have a chemical warehouse close buy it looks like brownell is the cheaper way to go??
