That ain't gonna happen.  They spent way too much effort over hundreds of years disarming the Europeans to let that slip back in.  The Czech's, Hungarians and Poles might do it for themselves, but it will never go Europe wide.

As the EU keeps sliding left in some kind of imaginary Utopian goal. I'm surprised the Pols haven't encouraged arming citizens after being shafted and conquered numerous times by foreign invaders. Especially after Obozo back stabbed them over the promised missile defense system. One would think the Czechs would wise up after Russian tanks rolled in during the 60's and they had no defense. I recall reading something on the net. Gun grabbers in Switzerland trying to heavily regulate so-called assault rifles.

Actually, the Swiss have real assault rifles, not semi-auto versions.  They are required to keep one in their house, with ammo, and shoot it occasionally.

I think the Swiss recently revoked that rule. I saw a lot of deer blinds in the Czech Republic.
