Thinking back to the early 70's when the Master Charge and the other whose name I can't remember. The cards could not be used to buy booze either retail or at a bar. Best I recall a few lawsuits ended the restrictions.

I had both but cut them up after my first wife got carried away. I had to get an Americard later that just covered checks. Back in the early 70's nobody would take a check without one of the bank cards used as ID. Best I recall the cards couldn't be used in casinos either and there was a limit on groceries. Here in Az plastic, either debit or credit couldn't be used for awhile to buy lottery tickets. Far as I know it's ok now.
