FC
VERY old hand-carved oak wagon wheel I bought in Georgia several years ago. Pine column from my property, two legs of Ark. walnut, and two legs are TX mesquite. That wheel is terribly heavy! I'm going to sell it for $500, or keep it. AzRednek
About 1960-61 when I was a paperboy. One of my customers, an old widow lady had furniture and even a fence made from old wooden wagon wheels. She told me her deceased husband made it all and his father repaired wagon wheels and made horse drawn wagons and buggys.

AzRednek
They were all wooden spoked wheels. She even had a partial wheel, just the spokes that was the back of her rocking chair. The last time I drove by the only wheel remaining was used to mount a mailbox, the fence was replaced with wrought iron. She was old in 1960 so I’m sure she passed years ago. According to her grandson a high school classmate, they had a large pile of the wheels in their backyard.
