I have had the absolute worse luck with M-1 Carbines. This one is my third and every one I’ve had something always breaks or fails. Mine is a Rockola, I bought it with very little use. According to the net, the serial number falls in the range at end of war after Army discontinued production. Small manufactures such as Rockola sent their remaining parts to Inland Marine. Mine has an Inland barrel all other parts except rear sight are Rockola. The original owner got it in a NRA promotion early 60’s by adding a 16 bucks for the new membership dues.
