How a grease gun works

The Greasegun was still in use in some earlier model tanks in Desert Storm. Friend of mine was an armorer from about 1968 to 1970 in Germany. He told me many of the tanks were equipped with a Greasegun. He also claimed when the Soviets invaded Czechoslovkia nearly every US soldier in Germany were activated, armed and prepared for an invasion. He claimed he armed himself and others with a Greasegun. Once they were in the field all soldiers including many officers that showed up with Greaseguns, M-1 Carbines and other weapons were taken away and given M-14’s. My bud complained they took his Greasegun and 1911. He was issued a heavy M-14 in a fiberglass stock that was top heavy. He said his base only had a few M-16’s being used for training and demonstrations.
