Dr.Hess
I'm not sure if a box store will have it. You want an epoxy dye. Do not use a fabric dye, as that stuff is loaded with salt. I bought some epoxy dye on ebay for a few dollars.

AzRednek
I wonder if the powdered dye used in fence block mortar would work. About 20 years ago I used the dye I bought at Lowe’s or Home Depot for a block fence repair. I don’t recall the price but don’t think it was painful or I’d remember it. I was working with a light tan and didn’t need very much for a close match. Might be different needing more for a brown color.
Downwindtracker2
I've used earth pigments , I got them from Lee Valley . I don't know if they still sell them. I'm going to need some when I fill the gaps and bed this 1930 Turk to someone's idea of a Weatherby stock. I just need to find the small container. chuckle. If that is unsuccessful, I think the local plastics store sells dye.
Horsefly
I found the epoxy dye Dr. Hess mentioned at Hobby Lobby. 8 bucks.
AzRednek
I read somewhere years ago on a gun board. Claimed he used boiled down coffee to darken the brown. Keep in mind it was on the net so it has to be true!!
