Reamers on sale @ PTG

Hi All - just wanted to let everyone know that PTG has a bunch of reamers on sale for $60 - $85.  I bought 3 this morning for my projects, .257AI finish / .280AI rougher / 30-06 rougher.

The 30-06 is a bit out of character for me, but it's for a friend's mauser project so I should be OK - he can keep it at his house :)

The problem with gunsmithing custom rifles today is that for 3-400 bucks, you can buy a sub-MOA rifle at Wally World, with a scope on it.  I guess that just leaves rich people who don't care to use gunsmithing services, and 4K is "bragging rights" at the deer camp, if they actually are at the deer camp and not the whore house.

I'll bet those 2 rounds will roll some pigs.

Ya know, "they say" (never having been there) that in Africa, true dangerous game rifles are double barrels.  That way you get 2 shots.  Bolt actions are considered single shots, because you get one shot and then you're dead before you have a chance to work the bolt.  And semi-autos don't have the strength to stand up to the powerful rounds, which start out at 375 H&H and go up from there.

Blow it out to an Akley Improved case?  Perhaps that will solve the feeding issue and keep the economy moving as you'll need to set the barrel back, have a reamer made, a Go gauge, load development and so on...  gotta spread that money around :)  Hijack away - it's all fun to me.
