The WEST will claim victory as it will keep Kiev and have frought off the Russian army,

The Russians will claim victory as they will have removed a lot of Ukrainian nationalists and kept the ports and "republics" by  Russia in the east.

Putin is the winner as the Russian nationalists will have appeared to have  shown to the Russian people that the WEST with the USA, in place of Britain, hates all Russians.  So much with trying to make Russia part of the NWO

The major difference is Ukraine is not being attacked on two fronts. In 1944 Poland had to fight Germany from the west and Russia from the east. I have a vague recollection of seeing a film of Polish Calvary preparing to do battle with German tanks. The Pols didn’t have a chance against German armor and the overwhelming numbers of Soviet troops.

That was 1939  not 1944. By 1944 the Germans had had control of Poland for almost 4 years ( and by the way killed a few million Poles).  Stalin wanted the Home army ( tied to the London poles,) removed but as he still needed the West, the Germany army was still fighting, he could not do the job himself. There were far too many Poles who had political friends among the Americans and the Brits.  So he encouraged the Polish home army to rise against the Germans  BUT stopped the Red Army 40 miles away,  (Stalin  said they needed rest and resupply) And surprise surprise,,the Germans came back to Warsaw and finding the Home army out in the open, they were counting on the Commies who did not show up in time, The German army and the SS removed the Home Army.Leaving only Polish Reds to take over Poland  After Stalin pushed out the Germans.
