FC
I was shot with 7 1/2 shot in 1976. This is the first time I’ve seen a picture of it. The pellet is behind my left eye.
Dr.Hess
Whoa. Do you have a visual field defect in that eye?
FC
Images are kind of squished flatter, and my upper visual range is limited. And something nobody can explain- since Kuwait, in bright summer light, I see a bent ovoid shape that's a bright yellow, or sometimes like a projector flashing images when it first starts up. I see most clearly not looking directly at letters with that eye.
Dr.Hess
Do the ophthalmologists say to just leave it there? I would thing they would take that out.
FC
Long ago I was told that it would cause too much damage to remove.
Dr.Hess
There is a really good ophthalmologist here in town. I went to him for years for my central serous retinopathy, until he stopped taking my insurance. He built himself a full eye hospital building where he does various surgeries. Vold Vision in Fayetteville, AR. I would ask his opinion and take that.
FC
Thank you for the lead. The wound has been stable for over four decades. I may leave well enough alone, but I'll keep his information.
