FC
Thank you. Good use of wood that was gathering dust. I glued it up in three sections, planed them, then glued the sections together. At first I used an electric hand planer, then remembered I'd made a router sled to flatten wide stuff. Finish is Waterlox. Mesquite, maple, spalted oak from GA, one piece of Brazilian cherry, our old pine flooring, and eastern red cedar from the Columbia, SC area. I put a liquid run-off trench even in the back so that stuff like brisket juice wouldn't get under the cedar in the back. It's pretty heavy, with it being about 1 7/8" thick. swamp_thing
That is the most beautiful countwr top I've ever laid eyes on. You could not have bought something that nice at any price, and you have the pride of knowing it is your own creation. Fabulous coloring and a piece of perfection. 6 stars on a 5 star scale.
