ken98k
Am I correct? To make a 375-338 chamber in a .375 dia. barrel, I was planning to use a .338 win mag reamer with a .375 pilot. Also to make a 338-06 chamber in a .338 barrel, I was planning to use an 30-06 reamer with a .338 pilot. (Both barrels are short chambered)
Racepres
Seems correct however.... how will you get the neck length [of the chamber] correct? How abt the jct at the shoulder and neck?? Not that I know just a question. MV
Doble Troble
Your proposal will cover a first step in cutting the chamber. In both cases you'll need a second reamer to cut the neck and throat. This is an efficient approach if you plan on cutting multiple different chambers in these calibers. ken98k
Thanks for your replies. I didn't think about the neck / throat. I guess I have to rent the proper reamer. Kenny
