Dr.Hess
Coming along. I would not let that hood vent into the attic. Put a 90 in the attic and run it to the side of the house if you have to. Loading the attic with grease is not a good idea.
FC
Thanks for the input. I think the juniper pollen was getting bad there. Are you ready for the deep freeze there?
Dr.Hess
Yes, I think I have it all ready. I changed out my all season tires for snow tires on the Land Rover. If it gets REALLY bad, I put snow tires on the Land Cruiser. With real actual snow tires, you can actually stop on ice. Driving on sheet ice with snows is about like driving in the rain on all season tires. It is supposed to get to -3F tonight, and accumulate 2 inches of snow today. I was going to take my Lotus Evora into Bentonville yesterday, but the county had announced that they were putting down salt on the bridges already, so, no way. FC
I loved studded tires in Nebraska.
Dr.Hess
Well, it was 36F this morning when I got up. It's 2F now. That's a tad chilly for me. I have a fire going in the wood stove. I've got over a cord ready. Saw a woman at the gas station yesterday with a bed full of firewood. She bought it at Lowe's and it was the last they had. About $100 for a rick (half a cord.) These are the tires I have on the Land Rover LR2: https://www.tirerack.com/tires/cooper-evolution-winter They are really day and night driving on ice. Especially stopping on ice. FC
That's a lot for 1/2 cord. Those are some strong-grip tires there.
