Guest corelock
Last year I was given a revolver that appers to be very similar to a Russian model 3 but has Spainish markings(maufactura especialde revlvers garate anitua eibar espana) blued barrel nickel frame. THe old piece needs TLC and parts. Did Smith make these or were they made under lis.?
swamprat
Your pistol was not made under license from Smith & Wesson. You have a Spanish version. Or did Smith & Wesson steal from the Spanish? In which case was the Smith & Wesson a copy? You have a Spanish pistol, a quality piece in its own right. Now if you would be so kind as to tell us the caliber? Also any markings around the trigger guard or under the grips. These would include just a single letter. Guest corelock
Swamprat, I qm not sure of cal. here are some measurements, The opening in the front of the cylinder( toward the hammer) the opening in the chambers toward the barrel is .448. On the right side of frame there is a serpant rapped around a "C" with what looks like a bishop or queen from a chess set. On the exposed part of teh grip there is this marking"36." Under the grip there is a "F" and on the flip side a 19 a q and a quarter moon. The wooded grips have the C and Bishop.
swamprat
Your pistol was made in the Eibar region of Spain. The F under the grip panel gives it a manufacture date of 1933. The other marks under the panel are proof marks. Have not been able to identify maker. There were a lot of small weapons manufactures in the Eibar region. If I find anything more I will post it here. swamprat
What is barrel inside dia.? You will probably have to make your own springs. Swamprat
