The lowdown on banking

My friend emailed me concerning money at banks.  He has a gmail account.  Gmail blocked my reply, 3 times!  This is what I said:

Re: Banking.  I don't think that the 3 largest banks in the country
went tits up.  Three large banks went tits up, but they were mostly
business oriented banks.  SVB was, in particular, a very risky bank
that put more emphasis in the new "woke" religion, which I won't go
into because your email service may block this message, but that's
what they were.  Federal (FDIC) insurance is $250K/person.  That
amount was guaranteed to be there for the depositors.  For a business,
that is chump change.  Note that as of this morning, the US Govt is
saying that all of the deposits will be paid back to the bank
customers, not just the 250K.  However, 250K/person is what is
actually guaranteed by the feds.  So, if you are really, really
concerned that the bank you use might go tits-up, you should not have
more than 250K in any one bank.  If you have, say, one million dollars
in a bank and it worries you, then go open accounts at 3 other banks
and put 250K in each one.  I don't have 250K in banks, so I don't
worry about it. I also use Arvest, which is the bank that Sam Walton
set up, owned by the Walton Family Trust.  They are a very well run
bank.  All Walmart dollars flow through there, so something like 2-3%
of US GDP flows through that bank.  In the last banking fiasco of
2008, they did not take any fed dollars to back them up, unlike all
the other banks. If Arvest goes tits-up, there will be no government
left to guarantee anything, so it won't matter.

People don't realize that gmail only lets through the emails that the left has considered "safe."  I had that happen during the covid fiasco as well, when I referenced CONGRESSIONAL TESTIMONY that didn't fit with the official narrative at that time.  Gmail even sent me a email back saying it was "disinformation" and they would not allow it.

Yes, with the effectual elimination of the 1st Amendment, small free sites like this are all that are left.  I suppose they will come for us too eventually.  The Twitter Files has been extremely eye opening.  Direct government action censoring the speech of the people.  And, once again, nobody goes to jail.
