So if it is government control .at least in part, Why you ask do firms accept it? Simple, they are assured, no matter how bad the times ,of government contracts $$$$$$$$$.

No one buying sport car tires? WE WILL, SAY THE PARTY OR STATE,, IF YA PLAY BALL., Give you a contract for a million army tires.

Problem selling cloth? How about a contract for a million black shirts or army uniforms?

Steel or energy? ARMY NEEDS A LOT. Not a problem, if you play ball with the leader.

Of course you can still make civive stuff too.( as long as it does not interfere with Gov supply. )

Money and profits for all!

Benito was smarter than Lenin. Leave the ones in charge who KNOW how things work(which is why Adolf learned from him). The workers? They will be happy to have jobs-pay  and some government bennies.The owners grade of profit. The managers glad of positions.  Everyone is happy as long as they do the right thing and keep the leader happy

Yeah, Benito said something to the effect of fascism is defined as a fusion of government and business.  We are there now.

Nothing new here folks, this has been going on in the US for a long time.

I remember reading that the definition of Fascism is government control of private company production.

Benito was a lot smarter then to just appoint some party hack to take control.

Think.... Mr Mussolini  says "karlo you are a popcorn bashing good ole boy. So I appoint YOU to run say F##t " Think  about how long F##t would stay in business. I simply dont know enough.

But

If Mussolini  called the head of f.... and said "Old fella, the army needs a million jeeps and Trucks.Can your firm make them or must I call another firm ?"  "You can? and "What Hillo?******* I am sure he is a supporter..back to the head of F...."Hill o is worried pal. But I told her you were a supporter right???? " Good..Good the order will go at at once and the contract,,Take care pal."

That is how it was mostly done and the firms in most cases were very very happy with the deal

Now in the  USSR, Lenin and later Stalin tried very hard to put party soviets in charge and shot a lot of  "Reactionaries".

It ruined Russian industry. In fact, if Adolf and not been so stupid as to declare war on the USA and insure lendlease, German would be i Think, the language of Russia now.

FDR had been selling then giving massive amounts of war aid to England and later also Russia,  almost from the start of the war (later lend lease)before Hitler declared war on the USA. You see after France fell, FDR felt that Hitler would take all Europe, than come after us. I dont like FDR thinking him a lefty progressive, but in this, later scholarship shows he was right.

So Hitler hated FDR; but having some idea of the power of the USA,simply did not want war yet. When Japan attacked and Congress declared war, Hitler thinking  the time had finally come declared war on the USA...He was wrong.
