724wd
well, for those that like unique grips on their pistols, my neighbor recently put up a web page... http://www.x-calibergrips.com/ with some fantastic styles of grips he makes. i had him make a set for my dad's kimber pro carry 2 in thuya burl, and they are SO beautiful! i will be making a set (with his assistance) in cocobollo for my Polish P-64 9x18, probably this autumn when he's less busy. he specializes in 1911 grips, bu i have seen others on Sig's, Revolvers, browning Hi-powers, etc.... he also does knives, and is working with carbon fiber for pistol grips and knife handles, and man, are they cool! so if you're interested in some real quality craftsmanship, give him a call or email. there are no corners cut in the production of these grips. the fit is much better than factory, and the other "custom" grips i've seen are not made with the same precision as these. (gee, it sounds like i'm trying to sell them for him, but really, i get nothing if he does sell them...)
