The Mind Of Liberals

I've found liberals baffling, but I am very slowly starting to understand their thought processes, if that is possible. It seems they are of the opposite opinion of everything I think.

This morning the NSA was berated for gathering the phone numbers of, I guess, 10 million Americans. I thought, "Aren't these the people who like socialism and big government?" Yeah, they like big government "helping" people, saving people, and rescuing people that screw up their own lives. Just one big teddy bear club. They don't want their private lives involved in government. Can you have both? They want goverment in every area of life, except the military, their wombs, their sexual relations, and their entertainment. The woman I dated once said she didn't like labels, yet had said she was liberal in her politics. When I complained about hobos begging all over Austin, she said I didn't understand their circumstances. Feelings are all that really count.

My wife and I saw someone selling cold, bottled water on a street corner in Austin. We both agreed that at least he had something to offer for the money he wanted. How much money and effort did that take on his part?

Liberal thought process:

 

1) Personal responsibility doesn't exist, and the concept is bad and must be stamped-out (unless a member of the Republican Party is responsible, see #3).

 

2) Productivity is almost always bad unless it doesn't benefit any individual while increasing tax revenues.

 

3) Everything bad is a Republican's fault (see #1).

 

4) Nothing good usually comes from discipline and determination (see #2).

 

5) Trying hard is not nice, should never be expected, and must be discouraged.

 

6) Liberals are always smarter and nicer than Conservatives.

 

7) There is a finite amount of wealth that will never increase despite the efforts of mean people, and because I'm smarter and nicer I deserve a larger serving than mean people who try harder and are selfishly productive (but don't create wealth because wealth is finite).

 

8) Poor people are alway nice (if they don't appear to be it's because they've been taken advatage of by mean people), and although not as smart as me (and therefore less deserving), should be entitled to a large portion of what mean people who try hard produce (which can't be wealth).

 

Not all liberals get all the way down the list. Most of them get stuck in an unresolvable loop within poiints 1-4. The smarterer ones get farther.

The hobos in Austin are not liberal or conservative.

 

They are bums, and they don't know jack schitt about politics.

 

They don't vote, because they are too busy panhandling on election day.

 

Have you seen one standing in line at the polls?

 

Don't worry about them.

 

Worry about the well educated liberals that are poised to take over the reins of this government because the present conservatives have sold us out as a country.

 

You can't have it both ways.

Liberals believe in the power of collective responsibility where no one person is physically responsible for his own actions.

 

Conservatives believe squarely in personal responsibility and believe that it is the individual's fault if he is poor or unhappy.

 

Conservative want to try and help a person do for himself while liberals seek to make him a dependant of the system.

 

All politicians are greedy and do for themselves before they do anything for anyone else. If this weren't the case, how the hell else did we get ourselves in the mess we're in now?
