Sailormilan2
It appears that someone has managed to loose 200,000 AK47s that were being shipped/flown to the Iraqi Army. About 4 plane loads, somewhere around 99 tons. So far, two boxes/crates have turned up in the hands of the insurgents. The original article was in the Wall Street Journal, but my son only sent me this link. http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/tm_objectid=1...-name_page.html
fritz
Well, I can tell you this---even with 200,000 AKs the Iraqi army will not win this thing with weapons. So it makes no difference where the missing rifles went. The end will be the same. They need help, and even with our help, the future don't looka too good. I don't like it, no one here likes it. So we keep plodding along in our attempt to help them, But more AK-47s won't do it. fritz
roscoedoh
Oh this is great; that's 200,000 extra rifles to shoot as us with. I hope they find whoever is responsible and hang 'em for it.
