C&r Question

Can I ship to myself? I may be going out of state next month. If I find a C&R rifle that I can't live without and purchase it with my C&R license, can I then ship it to my self to get it home? Via UPS, Fed Ex, or what ever.

I hear that Fed Ex has issues with fire arms stuff.

Never heard anything against UPS, I think SOG & CIA ship UPS.

Have gotten C&R's from others via USPS.

Are you driving, flying?

If driving, what's wrong with your trunk, you don't need a permit that I know of to transport a long gun.

If flying, you can check it in with the rest of your bags.

They will just want to verify that it is unloaded.

It was before 9-11 but I've flown with my Wincheter.

I wonder if the limit is still 11#'s of ammo :-)

Fed Ex does all the Shipping for the CMP. UPS has a policy that all firearms must go the local hub. You can't ship from a place like the UPS Store.

I was asking as I may take motorcycle on my trip. That doesn't give me a whole lot of room to carry any firearms.
