roscoedoh Posted June 2, 2006 Report Share Posted June 2, 2006 Have any of you read Battle Ready by Tom Clancy and Tony Zinni? I read this a while back and gave my dad a copy for Christmas. I found it interesting because it explains the "peace dividend" that's followed the fall of the Soviet Union and great new world order that we're participating in. It also talks about America's belief in quick, highly technologized conflicts over total wars and why what we're doing in the middle east isn't working. Or, such was my read. Overall, I found this an interesting read and would recommend it those who have the time. Karl, I think you especially would enjoy it - Zinni's a Marine!
