I've always managed to pick up a few bucks photographing weddings and haven't even got a call in several weeks. There is always a voulenteer that thinks he knows what he is doing with a new digital camera and photo shop willing to steal my cash business. They do a good job of shooting people with their eyes closed, exposed arm pits and the biggest sins, photographing the bride's buns or using a sharp focus on her face. Last summer I had to turn away several jobs. Weddings are also by far the easiest place imaginable for an outsider to get lucky for a night or collect phone numbers.
