Well, you could always move down here to South Texas and see the meskins flying their flag of Mexico in their protests.

Or just remember that protests have always happened, and always will happen.

I don't necessarily like it, but I have lived long enough to witness it.

Do I accept it?

No, that's why I keep posting on internet forums, trying to show what is going on in all parts of America.

And the picture ain't pretty!

But is Texas accepting Yankee immigrants?

Other than the immigration protest in Detroit the only Mexican flags I see are on vehicles. (SW Detroit has a large Mexican population) Lately I see a lot more Lebanese flags on vehicles than anything else though.

I was born in '66. I remember a little about rallies that took place but was just a dumb kid and didn't know what was going on. For you guys that saw this in the '60's and '70's as adults, how do the peace rallies and our nations/politicians responses look now compared to back then?

This would compare with the small local "protests" of 65 or early 66.

I don't see this growing into the mass protests of 67 68 69 or 70, since there is no draft.

But if the draft came back, without another 9/11 event the protests would grow.
