Gothmog Posted August 14, 2006 Report Share Posted August 14, 2006 This movie was filmed in a town not far from where I live and I actually know some of the people involved in its production, movie armourers by and large. The story is a good one, and it is essentially the Beowulf saga retold. Emul8 Posted August 19, 2006 Report Share Posted August 19, 2006 Yeah, I'd really want to be a viking, particularly after waking up in the morning and getting a little wash from the community bowl. That scene just about made me throw up. However, I love Antonio Banderas, and that's about the only thing that saved that movie for me. I thought the best scene was where Banderas' character was lying away from the vikings at night, and he listened to learn their language. The transition between Norse and English was pretty cool.
