skeeter2859
I came across 4 springfield 03 actions at a local gun shop. They were in very good shape and a couple of dif manufactures. The asking price was $149. I didn't have time to check if they were high or low numbers. I want to get back and check that. The price sounds good since Sarco lists them for $149 too. How does that price sound? Next ?, I do have 2 barrels off 03's. One is military, one not. What problems might I run into getting one of these barrels on the action? What chance that the ex. slot will line-up? Thanks for any input.....Skeeter
eric123
$149 isn't a bad price...
skeeter2859
I did get to check and they are high number. I just picked up 2 turks and with Christmas coming budget is tight. My thinking is to pick up as many actions or rifles now. A few years down the road will they be around or affordable?
eric123
Last winter my friend moved to Wisconsin from Idaho. I helped him pack the moving van. Just as he was leaving he gave me an '03 Springfield with all matching numbers made in 1912. Gun looks unissued, and the only marks are from handling...These are my favorite military action...Every '03 I have ever had was a tack driver... AzRednek
Every '03 I have ever had was a tack driver... They are incredible shooters indeed. When I was in my 20's before I needed glasses, I could shoot a group with my 03 at a hundred yards that compares today at 56 years old with what I do with a scope.
