Doble Troble
I've tried Marine Tex and I think every form of epoxy I can get from Home Depot. They all "work". I keep going back to plain old Brownell's Acraglas. Its kinda spendy for what you get, but it really does the job without quirks.
roscoedoh
Its darn hard to beat Acraglas Gel!!
nicholst55
Its darn hard to beat Acraglas Gel!! +1 for Acraglas Gel. Devcon Liquid Steel is reasonably easy to work with for high-stress applications. I really like it for glassing M1s and M1As. I still prefer Acraglas Gel for most applications, though. Another good one is Micro-Bed, formerly made by the Micro Sight Company, but now owned and made by Brownells. It's really handy when you only need a small amount of glass. bcp477
Whatever product you choose (I use Devcon Plastic Steel, myself)....do yourself a favor and avoid the thin, very liquid epoxy products, like the original Acraglass. If you use a gel or better yet (IMO), a putty-style epoxy, then no dams will be needed inside the stock....and cleanup will be much easier.
