How To Repair Crack At Recoil Lug Area ?

Is this Lee-Enfield forearm?

 

I don't see why you couldn't drift out the pin and install a cross bolt. The one thing to bear in mind is that pin may be what's keeping this stock together right now. Thread with caution.

This is an 03A3.

It also has a pin at the rear of the action.

Here is what I did.

Basically I bedded it with Acraglass Gel.

Drilled some holes to create a Mechanical Lock.

It has a screw that is already installed in the place where a

Cross Bolt would be so I think it should be fine as long as my bedding job comes out OK. I could not add another screw because the one in there was only about 1/4" down.

That will probably do but I'd add a couple of divots to the sides of the stock next to the recoil "lug". I'm sure it will do the trick. Pics when done please.
