FC
I can handle the idea of a gun being fun to shoot, and a fascinating piece of machinery, but not the idea of a piece of history with a halo surrounding it. That's one notion I'll fight.
J.B
I shoot all of my guns, regardless of historical value, I dont sport them though, I would only sport something like an M48, or maybe a RC K98(depending on what ordnance code it is). I wouldnt sport an all matching K98k(I would still shoot it though) or a WWII jap rifle or any of the US rifles.
karlunity
I like my rifles, I even give them names, a practice I picked up reading Viking history as a boy, but I agree with FC on this. Folks who fall down and venerate mil sups almost as icons have, I think, gone a bit over the top. Karl

I do admire the takedown model they made. That would be fun to sport if not for their relative scarcity.
J.B
The takedown model is definitely unsportable. I would love to have one.

Riceone has one that I believe was sported. Pretty cool if only for the takedown factor.
J.B
I believe his was already hacked beyond saving. If anyone did get ahold of a type 2 and sported it, it would be extremely foolish to do, as you could get tons of guns for the price of it.
