Checking In Again With Some Financial News

Hi guys,

First off, sorry I haven't sent you some cash for the site this year FC, but I will take care of that one day soon, I promise.

I don't post here that often of late, but I do check in from time to time.

I heard an interview with a financial analyst that I thought might be of interest to you fellas, and so I thought I might pass the gist along to you.

It went like this: among other things (gold and silver going higher, along with copper) the US dollar is poised to take another shellacking. It should surge in June, only to begin dropping shortly thereafter. Here's the shocker: within a year or so he predicted an American dollar worth about half a buck Canadian! :o

It might be wise to pick up a few Canuck bucks in June, just in case.

Welcome back. I have enough money for the site, so you don't need to send anything.

My understanding is that the dollar is 20-30% undervalued. However, if the government is printing currency to pay its bills at too high of a rate, it will have a negative impact on the dollar.

My Dad told me one time to believe half what you see and nothing you hear. YMMV, but I've found that quite often to be true.

Well, time will tell. I'll be curious to see where this one ends up as it seemed a bit surprising to me.

What your father said is all too often true.

In this case I have reason to trust the source as I have followed this particular financial program for some years now and much of what has been presented has been accurate. If anyone wishes I can post a link, although I believe you will have to join the radio station's site to listen. It's nothing weird, just a local Vancouver radio station website. The show is run by a fellow named Michael Campbell and I've found it interesting and informative over the years. B)

I figure the worst that could happen is that if nothing else you might have a few dollars set aside for a little trip to the 'Great White North' one of these days. :P I'm not suggesting folks throw everything they have into foreign currency as you need mostly US dollars because most of your buying is in America anyways.

A few extra beans left over to buy some guns won't hurt though. ;)

Here's a link to the analyst's website where the interview is posted. You don't need to join anything, just click on the April 12 2008 interview and go to the 7:00 mark, otherwise you have to listen to our local news first.

The analyst's name is David Bensimon and yes, there is some math involved. :P

Let me know what you think. I thought it quite interesting.

The Canadian dollar stuff is around the 38:00 to 40:00 mark, for those of you that can't stand financial discussions and need to skip ahead. I find I enjoy hearing them at my current stage of life, but each to their own.

'Great White North' one of these days."

That is one of the places I am going to visit. I want to see "The plains of Abraham" and the place where General Wolff died after defeating Montcalm.
