bert01
It is marked ZBROJOVKA BRONO, A.S. VZ24 looks like good to very good condition, all matching #'s. wood is normal surplus condition, floor plate doesn't have any deep pitting, reciever looks unpitted. comes with 100rnds of brass cased 8mm for $175 so is it a good price? im trying to mind my pennies but thought it looked good
tinkerfive
I just bought one at $175 counterbored and with a cracked stock. I think that I did OK. I've seen other 98 actions go for $250+ on GunBroker. But then all I'm really looking for is a good action. Tinker

Ron J
Every VZ24 in Clevelandville is; priced higher than that, pitted or worn smooth and never matching. Normally 250 and up.
karlunity
If the ammo is, boxer brass, reloadible, it alone is worth about 50 bucks these days. That makes the cost of the rifle $ 125. If the bore is good, go for it. karl
bert01
picked it up today it looks even better in person. i havent had time to take pics, but here are the ones from the sellers post on another forum. im interested in two things, it has no crest and the serial is prefixed with XR, im assuming thats just from import? the other is about the FN MAL ammo its brassed cased and im thinking its Fabrica Nacional de Municoes de Armas Ligeiras any ideas? z1r
It is a Romanian contract rifle and the crest has been scrubbed. The "R" in the serial means it ws for the Romanians. The markings on the left siderail indicate it was made after the Germans took over.
Clemson
Considering the ammo, you did great with the VZ24! Congrats...... Clemson
