Horsefly
I have a '96 Honda 300 Fourtrax that I'm trying to get back to almost new condition, but I've hit a snag.I can't find any info. on what color the tire rims were from the factory. They look like aluminun paint like you'd use on barn tin or fence corner post, with a dark gray primer underneath.I can paint any color I want,I know, but I want it orignal looking. If any of you cats have any ideas,I sure want to hear them. Eldora
I have a '97 Honda 400 that has the original color wheels. I bought it new. You're correct. I'm 99.9 % sure they should be a light, not quite silver, gray. It does appear metallic. We used to have an older Honda 300 like yours that also had the gray painted wheels. My wife has a Yamaha now that uses a darker charcoal gray wheel. That's not what you want. Sounds like an interesting project. Best of luck.
