Reloading Component Shortages

Guess I'm adding fuel to the fire but I started hoarding today. I managed to find 1,000 each of primers but the old stand-by powders are not out there. I would have grabbed more primers but the dealer had a limit of a thousand each. My powder list included Bullseye, Unique, Herco, 2400, Win 748 & 760, Imr's 3031, 4320, 4350, 4895. I also checked for the similar Hodgden numbers. I got one dealer's last bottle of Bullseye and a big goose egg on everything else. One dealer has a good supply of Accurate brand but I don't have any knowledge of their powders. The dealer was anxious to close and didn't offer any advice on the Accurate brands. The price of bullets are out line but guess I don't have much choice. I paid 9.99 per hundred of Winchester 22 55gr FMJ's taking the dealer's last 400. I was going to buy some 400gr Remington 45 cal but the dealer wanted 35.95 per hundred. As soon as I got home I checked, the same bullets I got a few months ago had a 23.95 price tag. There is a good supply of the high priced premium bullets but I just can't see putting expensive Nosler Partitions through a paper target or a tin can. Tomorrow morning I'll start out with loading manuals in hand. It is about a 40 minute drive for me to Dillon's show room, I'm hoping they have a decent supply of powder in stock. If I have any money left I might take a drive to J&G if they have any deals on 8MM or 06.

I stocked up a month or two ago, seeing this coming. AIM, I think, is having a special on 70's production Yugo 8mm at $100/tin delivered. I think that's 340 or 380 rnds/tin depending on if you want charger clips. They have an ad in SGN. The days of 6 cent 8mm are long gone.
